Our prayer is that what happens in the lives of these precious little ones would display God’s goodness and power as Jesus says in John 9

About Us

Our Story

In early 2010, Paul and Kristin Hoffman founded the Judah Quy Home for precious little ones in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, with the dream of giving love and quality medical care to orphaned and abandoned babies who need intensive attention to move beyond surviving to truly thriving and fulfilling their God-given potential. We had witnessed God’s miraculous work of restoration in our first adopted son, born with severe complications, and realized God was showing us the kind of care He wanted to provide for other abandoned children with serious special needs. Our team now serves 18 “preciosos” and it is our pleasure to provide them a continuum of care until they are, where possible, reunited with a family member (four so far), adopted (16 in total, including 10 in our family), or called home to the Lord.

Our Kids

The children at Judah Quy are loved and cherished as they navigate real challenges, such as cerebral palsy, severe birth malformations, hydrocephaly, disability due to grave physical abuse and natural disaster, quadriplegia, autism, infectious diseases, PKU, anophthalmia, serious congenital heart defects, convulsive disorders, deafness, blindness, and significant developmental and intellectual delays. And we are witnesses to what consistent, loving, and timely care can do for extremely vulnerable children. God is Father to the fatherless, and through His daily faithfulness and provision we have the enormous privilege of helping meet the vast need for a safe, loving environment for Bolivia's most unprotected and voiceless little ones. Living and loving between brokenness and wonder is sometimes very challenging and always humbling. Laughter and tears, hope and suffering mingle day after day.

Our team

Our incredible team of women serve the Lord, along with the Hoffman family, caring for these precious ones by providing, most importantly, genuine mothering for their wounded hearts and bodies 24/7, as well as tailored stimulation, physical therapy, educational assistance for the five who can attend school, nutritional meals, and advocacy within the Bolivian courts and bureaucracy. For example, a sweet blind girl learned Braille from members of our team (who trained themselves) and has been successfully mainstreamed into school and become the top student in her class, thanks to daily accompaniment and timely translation. In addition, in late 2024, we piloted our first foster family placement, which will soon turn into an adoption! We believe God is directing us to expand our efforts to encourage foster-adoption through local churches, and later to serve and support families who have made the blessed choice to care for their own disabled children.
